Cable Data

Cable Data helps you configure data and tick marks on the cables. Some of the data, like Cable diameter, are used by other functions. This function allows you to have complete control of the data and tick marks. Changes in this dialog box will update the cables in the project.

 

No. of hot conductors – Specify the number of hot conductors. This setting is used in the function Draw Cable.

No. of neutral conductors – Specify the number of neutral conductors. This setting is used in the function Draw Cable.

No. of ground conductors – Specify the number of ground conductors. This setting is used in the function Draw Cable. 

Cable Tag – Specifies the parameter CQCableTag. Use this parameter to tag cables, see examples below.

Cable diameter [mm] – Specify the cable diameter. The diameter is used in the function Cable Collection.

Cable weight [kg/m] – Specify the cable weight. The weight is used in the function Cable Collection.

Data for some wire types are predefined.

Click Update Model when changes have been made, to apply the settings on all existing cables in the project.

Check the box “Apply cable data when using Revit Draw Wire” to automatically apply the settings to all new wires if you use Revit’s Wire function. Note, when you use Revit’s own function the settings doesn´t apply until you finish the command.
